The biggest soccer tournament in history is being played in your backyard
The stadiums are filling up, the jerseys are coming out, and the world's best players are heading to the United States. This summer, 11 American cities are hosting the action, including Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle, Kansas City, and San Francisco. The final takes place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19th.
Who is playing and who can win it?
Spain is among the favourites, with Lamine Yamal lighting up every game he plays. Defending champions Argentina are back, with Lautaro Martinez leading the line and hungry to repeat 2022. Brazil, France, and England are all serious contenders, and then there is Team USA, opening at home against Paraguay on June 12th in Los Angeles in front of a crowd that has been waiting decades for this moment.
When does it start?
The action kicks off on June 11th and runs all the way through to July 19th, with 104 games across 39 days. Teams play in groups of four, with the top finishers advancing through knockout rounds to the final.
